Supported Employment

Supported Employment Program

Designed to assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining integrated, competitive employment within the community. Services under this program may include job development and job search assistance, including completion of applications, resume writing, and interviewing techniques. Once a job is secured, the employer’s training is reinforced, and supplemented as needed, by a one-on-one Job Coach. Intensive support and training is provided on a time limited basis and is phased out as the individual masters the job. Individuals may be provided with follow-up services when appropriate, as funding is available. This program is generally funded by the state through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and Franklin/Fulton MH/MR.
